Since I wasn't home when this happened, I can only imagine some automatic Windows update triggered the problem. But how can I fix it? I've installed all available Windows updates and I still seem to be stuck with the basic display driver.
I may have figured out /505.txt solution for the time being. From there, I saw a list of drivers, some of them with dates. The ones from didn't work, but selecting one from did. At least now when I go to the display adapter properties I see the correct driver and I can select a more appropriate display resolution. It's still not clear why the drivers stopped working last week, but I seem to have a workaround.

I have an older computer. It came with Windows 7. In January Eisplay downloaded and updated to Windows Dixplay the install I got some message that quickly flashed on the screen about a problem-didn't understand it.
